When Sachin made his debut
The First Match
The Little Master as he is hailed in the cricket world and the only man to score 100 international centuries, Sachin Tendulkar has earned a reputation that most Sportsmen or women for that matter, can not even come close to during their whole careers. It has been 30 years since he made his International Debut for India on 15th of November, 1989.
It has been three decades since Sachin Tendulkar played for this wonderful cricket mad nation of India for the very first time. Back then no one would have thought that this little 16 year old kid will go on to break a plethora of records and rewrite most of the records with his own style over the next 24 years.
It was Karachi, Pakistan where India were playing against their arch rivals. Sachin Tendulkar was the newest member of the team and the youngest too being 16 years and 205 days at the time of his debut. Everyone in the Indian team wanted to protect the young curly haired debutant from the fast and fierce Paksitan bowling attack but little did they know about the heroics what Sachin had to offer. Even though the very first innings were of 15 runs, Sachin's batting was appreciated the way he handled and faced the pace attack of Pakistan before eventually being bowled by Waqar Yonis who also made his debut in the same match.
Sachin Saga
Over a career spanning nearly 25 years, Little Master scored 100 international centuries, with a stupendous record of most runs in ODIs and Test Matches. He even made a record till his last match as he played his 200th test match, a record that is next to impossible to break even if someone comes close to scoring the plethora of runs he managed in his career.
During his 200th and final Test
It was 16th November, 2013 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai with Sachin Tendulkar all set to bid bid adieu to the world stage of cricket . After the long speech and final farewell from the nation to her "most favourite son" as he was hailed by many during the last decade of his career, Sachin Tendulkar hung his boots from all forms of international cricket before he scored 74 in his very last innings against West Indies in Mumbai on 15th November, 2013 which was precisely 24 years later on the very day of his debut .
